I think it helps to give my context first. Am a single person who has lived in my current home for 27 years. I am very comfortable in my space, but because I am on my own, things can get a bit out of hand. The first time I used Vicky was for a big clean up and reorganisation. What a pleasure working with Vicky as she helped me to decide what to keep and what should go; how to rearrange my space for easier living and at the end I had lots of space and everything was just easier add better. Recently I used Vicky to help me prepare for selling my flat. So this involved packing up some stuff; sorting out what I wanted to keep and what I wouldn’t need in my new, smaller place. She helped me to arrange what I could sell; contacted potential buyers and just made things so very much easier. I can’t recommend Vicky highly enough. She is compassionate and professional. Everything went smoothly and made my life so very much easier. You won’t regret using her and you will wonder why you didn’t make use of her services ages ago.

Thank you to the lovely Vicky Sim who helped me organise a ‘mountain’ full of stored stationery, books, papers, cds, that have been collected over the years. I don’t think I could have done the amount of clearing out and sorting, that we’ve done in 3 short hours, without her! Vicky’s help was just what I needed to get me motivated to do more clearing out. Just wanted to let you know the filing system is working extremely well, it is keeping me so organised and filing is a pleasure now and the flow is really good. I enlisted Vicky’s help to assist my father in decluttering and organising the family home. Having long since flown the nest and moved abroad, it was a relief to learn about a professional organiser who has experience working with seniors who are looking to simplify and downsize. Vicky established a rapport of trust with my father and this enabled her to work with him as an engaged and motivated team player. Vicky is amazing! She stepped in during a time of family bereavement and trauma and literally managed everything for us. She was kind, professional and empathetic and kept us up to date each step of the way with WhatsApp photos and messages. Even the inevitable glitches that come with clearing out an entire apartment (like the desk not fitting through the door), she handled with a calm confidence, and we felt completely comfortable trusting her with the process while we were back in Cape Town. Vicky helped my husband to sort, organise, pack up, give away and move an entire household in less than two weeks! She lovingly and patiently helped my mother-in-law to choose what clothing/linen/paintings etc would go with her to the senior residence, organised the different charities and auction house to collect, and packed up everything! All while remaining calm in the chaos, and helping the family manage a very tough transition. Vicky, you will need to visit us in Cape Town – thank you so much for all your patience and dedication.

Vicky is truly incredible and I cannot recommend her and her company highly enough. She helped us clear a house filled with four decades worth of things in a matter of days. She is exceptionally professional, efficient and responsive and made an immensely difficult task straightforward and achievable. Vicky combines sensitivity for the difficult task of clearing a house with an amazing work pace. She kept us constantly updated and her network of contacts made it easy to work through a range of issues like selling furniture or scanning photographs. We had despaired at the thought of clearing such a large house but Vicky took care of everything.  Her work was superb and we feel so fortunate to have found Vicky and her company online.

I came across Vicky Sim quite by accident, at a time when I was desperately trying to encourage my mother to start packing up the home she had been in for 23 years. Where my mother was disinclined to take encouragement and advice from her daughter, she found it easier to do so from this compassionate, encouraging, but firm, “stranger”. With my living in Cape Town, it was such a relief and a blessing to know there was someone professional, trustworthy and efficient in Durban to oversee the early phases of packing and identifying what was to be kept and what was to be disposed of. Her list of appropriate third parties to assist where required was also invaluable. She was scrupulous in keeping me updated during the weeks prior to my arrival. I do not know how we would have managed it all without her assistance and I highly recommend her service.

Vicky is simply amazing. She helped me clear out my late father’s house and was so efficient yet compassionate during a difficult time. I would absolutely recommend her.
