I think it helps to give my context first. Am a single person who has lived in my current home for 27 years. I am very comfortable in my space, but because I am on my own, things can get a bit out of hand. The first time I used Vicky was for a big clean up and reorganisation. What a pleasure working with Vicky as she helped me to decide what to keep and what should go; how to rearrange my space for easier living and at the end I had lots of space and everything was just easier add better. Recently I used Vicky to help me prepare for selling my flat. So this involved packing up some stuff; sorting out what I wanted to keep and what I wouldn’t need in my new, smaller place. She helped me to arrange what I could sell; contacted potential buyers and just made things so very much easier. I can’t recommend Vicky highly enough. She is compassionate and professional. Everything went smoothly and made my life so very much easier. You won’t regret using her and you will wonder why you didn’t make use of her services ages ago.

I enlisted Vicky’s help to assist my father in decluttering and organising the family home. Having long since flown the nest and moved abroad, it was a relief to learn about a professional organiser who has experience working with seniors who are looking to simplify and downsize. Vicky established a rapport of trust with my father and this enabled her to work with him as an engaged and motivated team player. Vicky handled the whole process with respect and sensitivity and with her guidance and regular contact and goal setting as well as updates on progress, the declutter job was diligently completed. Vicky recently assisted us in clearing items from a deceased estate. It was an urgent job and she was tasked with finding items which were like a needle in a haystack of clutter! We were absolutely blown away by Vicky’s positive attitude, competence, professionalism and efficiency as she sorted through very personal and confidential documents and items whilst we were not able to be there due to Covid restrictions on international travel. Vicky is an absolute gem and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Vicky Sim of Simplicity Services was recommended to me when I was personally unable to cope with packing up and disposing of all my possessions, prior to moving home. She dealt with the mammoth task calmly and sensitively.  She sorted and packed very efficiently and methodically. She then referred to an endless list of dealers and institutions to dispose of everything. Vicky is every bit a professional and I highly recommend her services.

Vicky is an absolute must if you’re looking for anything around getting your home organised. I am going through a high risk difficult pregnancy, just moved down to Durban and completely overwhelmed. She helped unpack, sort and declutter. She got my baby’s room organised, helped tidy cupboards, lovingly helped me let go of family furniture, linen, silverware crockery and cutlery that I collected over the years but never used. She was very understanding and kind. I loved working with her and her assistant Londiwe. Great team!

Vicky helped my husband to sort, organise, pack up, give away and move an entire household in less than two weeks! She lovingly and patiently helped my mother-in-law to choose what clothing/linen/paintings etc would go with her to the senior residence, organised the different charities and auction house to collect, and packed up everything! All while remaining calm in the chaos, and helping the family manage a very tough transition. Vicky, you will need to visit us in Cape Town – thank you so much for all your patience and dedication.

Thank you to the lovely Vicky Sim who helped me organise a ‘mountain’ full of stored stationery, books, papers, cds, that have been collected over the years. I don’t think I could have done the amount of clearing out and sorting, that we’ve done in 3 short hours, without her! Vicky’s help was just what I needed to get me motivated to do more clearing out. For me packing up my flat with its lifetime collection of things has been such an amazingly painless process.  And what is more, I know you have done everything as well or better than I could have done it myself had I been well enough. You had excellent ideas of where things could go and contacts with people who would be interested in buying or receiving things. You were so careful to check every step with me and to make sure my wishes are respected. I do hope this business of yours takes off, since it is such a good service.

Vicky is truly incredible and I cannot recommend her and her company highly enough. She helped us clear a house filled with four decades worth of things in a matter of days. She is exceptionally professional, efficient and responsive and made an immensely difficult task straightforward and achievable. Vicky combines sensitivity for the difficult task of clearing a house with an amazing work pace.
